Identify your type of waste

Certain types of waste are prohibited from being placed in bins by law.
In addition, the dumps have very strict guidelines.
It is important that you correctly identify the type of waste you are going to place in your bin to avoid additional charges imposed by the dumps.

Prohibited waste items

Asbestos, food, liquid waste and dangerous goods and substances are not accepted.

Mixed Waste

Accepted waste items

General household waste, boxes, timber, furniture, white goods, electrical appliances, clothes, toys, carpet, green waste, general building waste (Mattress, tyres and gas bottles can be placed on top but additional costs apply to dump).

Non accepted waste items

Food waste, asbestos, liquid waste (paints, oils, thinners, chemicals) are not accepted.

Rubble Waste

Accepted waste items

Bricks, pavers, tiles, concrete, stones, rocks and clean fill soils are accepted.
Please note – No other materials can be included, not even the smallest amount as the dumps enforce very strict rules for contaminated waste. Additional costs will apply.

Non accepted waste items

Grass, lawn, asbestos, timbers, organic waste, plaster boards, cement sheeting, household waste, electrical waste are not accepted as rubble waste.

Special instructions

There are no weight limits for rubble waste. Please fill to the top of the bin only.

Green Waste

Accepted waste items

Greens only - lawn clippings, weeds, leaves, branches, wood.

Non accepted waste items

Any rubble, dirt or mixed waste.
